Essay Term 2 Week 9

Dear A03

In order to see a tangible improvement in your grades, you need to
(1) revisit the processes of question analysis,
(2)plan your essay seriously using the outline
(3) read, read, read, read, read to secure relevant evidence (data, case studies etc) to substantiate your essays.
You must also remember both the structures of a paragraph + the essay.

Recall that the essay titles due for class on Thursday 21 May 2009 are:
  1. Are the poor an inevitable feature of any society?
  2. Is Singapore a good place to call home?
  3. 'You can tell the aspirations of a nation through its advertisements.' Discuss with reference to your country.
  4. Discuss what our society can do to help the elderly enjoy their 'golden years'.

Each group prepares one essay outline for presentation.

For your own benefit, find time to complete the following required reading:

Statistics Singapore
Contact Singapore
Uniquely Singapore


You need to source your own supplementary reading to substantiate your case.
